Why kotatsu and mikan?

In Japan, winter means a kotatsu: a low table with a heated blanket, a bowl of mikan (mandarin oranges) on top, and a cat who refuses to come out. We live in Japan, and this little scene is our everyday winter.

Pokaya (ぽか屋) means “a little shop of warmth”. Every design starts from that feeling.
